2009 Chemistry Games

I am challenging all Crazy 8s (and other Earthlings that have access to our blog) to achieve greatness in the 1st-ever Chem Games. Use the following links to earn (as many points possible) and learn (about the individual elements and their chemical symbols, subatomic particles, and placement on the periodic table). These websites can help reinforce your knowledge of atoms and the periodic table, concepts that we have started (and will continue) to learn about during our chemistry unit.

    yes, because if you break up the smaller particles it will no longer be that element. plus it will explode

    an atom can still be divided into smaller particles like protons, neutrons, and electrons, which can still be divided into smaller particles called quirks. however, the definition says that an atom is the smallest particle an element can be divided into and still be that element. so that means that the definition of an atom is still correct.

    Yes. Because protons neutrons and electrons arent specific elements that it got broken down to.

    I got -906 points on setting the periodic table...and I made it into the top 10..and for your information, that takes a lot of skill because you are timed, and you had to click really fast

    Seth - You probably just ruined Desirae's day. I think you just caused her to play that game for several MORE hours, which might not be a good thing. Either way, I am amazed at the score. I believe you've earned the Gold Medal.
