i would still be accurate, because when you break up the atom into subatomic particles they lose the characteristics of the element.
Yes because you can't spilt protons, neutrons, and electrons into something smaller.

No because you can divide an atom into protons, neutrons, and electrons.
No, because if you take away 1 proton from it, it would become a whole new element. Same going with neutrons and electrons, taking away 1 or 2 or however many will change the element. So I believe what they had said before is wrong.

Yes, the definition is still accurate because the particles are still apart of the atom. An atom is the smallest particle into which an element can be divided and still be that element.
That is still true, because it will still be an atom it is just made up of different parts like protons neutrons and electrons.
Yes, because the protons and neutrons are inside the nucleus and if you divide those up it will mess up the element. The atom, I believe is the smallest thing an element can be divided and stay the same element.
