1. Diet- Flost, Coke- Sink
2. Because of their Mass.
3. Mass, Because they are made of different things whcih makes their weight heavier.
4. Because Coke has a greater mass cause of what it is made of.
1. I think Diet coke will float and coke will sink
2.mass and volume
3.Caffene and sugar was removed from the coke to make diet coke, therefore making it less dense, so it floats.
4.More mass
I think it's going to be the diet coke that floats. Some things float ,because they are less dense than water. Some things sink ,because they are heavier than water. I think it happened ,because it's diet. It has more suger than diet.
hypothesis: i think they will both float
1. some objects float because they have a density less than one
2. the diet coke floats because its density is less giving it less mass.
3. Density because they will have the same volume
4. because the coke has more sugar in it than the diet coke
1. diet coke will float and coke will sink.
2. their density is either less then water or more than water and if its more then water it sinks and less then water it floats.
3.mass because the cans are full to the same and have the same volume.. so it has to be mass.
4.The diet coke has less caffine!
I think the coke will sink because it has more sugar than the diet coke. The diet coke has less sugar and it will float becaaue I think that sugar is heavy.
1. i think the coke will sink and the diet coke will float. they both have different elements, which have different densities.
2. some objects have density more than one, which means it will sink because it has more density than water. if a object has a density less than one, it will float,
3. mass. they are both in the sized can so it wouldnt be volume.
4. coke has more sugar in it. diet coke has less.
1. I think that Coke will sink, and Diet Coke will float.
2. Objects with a density of more than one will sink, and objects with a density of less than one will float.
3. The Diet Coke has less sugar and more airbubbles in it, causing it to have less volume.
4. Coke has more sugar.
I predict that the Coke will float and the Diet Coke will sink! Some objects float and some objects sink according to their density... or perhaps maybe, bouyancy! The Coke sank because its ingrediants are possibly more dense than that of Diet Coke. It has to be because they're the same otherwise! I have no idea why Coke has a larger mass! I don't even drink pop at all! Mr. Smith inspired me in the sixth grade never to drink pop. So do not ask me yo.
1. The can of Coke will sink and the can of Diet Coke will float.
2. Some objects float if they have a lower density.
3. The Coke has a higher density than the Diet Coke that's why the Coke sinks and the Diet Coke floats. Mass changed it.
4. Diet Coke has a higher density because of the greater amount of sugar and other ingredients.
1. coke will sink and diet coke will float.
2. because it depends on the denisty of the object.
3. mass cause they are the same shape so the volume shouldnt change.
4. Most substances. More sugar and other ingredients.
1. I think that the diet coke will float and that the regular coke will sink
2. I think the regular coke will sink because the extra sugar in it will add weight that the diet coke doesn't have, causing the regular coke to sink, and the diet coke to float.
3. The mass was different because the volume/size of the cans are the exact same.
4. Diet coke is sugar free, so no sugar is dissolved in it, causing the diet come to have less mass than the regular coke, which does have sugar dissolved into it.
1] Coke will sink and Diet Coke will float.
2] Some things have more density than water and some have less than water.
3] Coke sunk and Diet Coke floated because Coke has more sugar than Diet Coke.
4] Mass because that is how much it ways.
5] Coke has more sugar than Diet Coke.
1. I think diet coke will float and coke will sink.
2. Some objects float because they have a smaller density than water and somethings sink because they have a larger density than water.
3. Mass because they have the same volume it just depended on what was in the can of diet coke and coke.
4. Coke has a greater mass because it has more sugar in it than diet coke.
1. I predict the coke will sink and the diet coke will float.
2. If an objects density is less then waters density, it will float. If it is not, it will sink.
3. Mass, because the cans are the same size and have the same volume so it must be the mass that is different.
4. Coke has caffiene and more sugar then Diet coke.
1. I think that Coke will sink because its density is heavier than the water's. The Diet Coke however will float because its density is lighter than the water's.
2. Objects will float or sink because of their density (Mass/ Volume) is lighter or heavier that the water's.
3. The differents with the cans is their mass they both have the same volume because they are the same size. They are in the same size of containers.
4.But something most likely the carbonation and sugars and the caffiene make the difference. Coke has caffiene but the Diet Coke does not have caffiene this could make it heavier or the sugar amount in the Coke VS. the Diet Coke.
1. I predict that the can of Coke will sink, but the can of Diet Coke will float.
2. I think that since diet coke has less substances in the liquid in order to make it healthier, that it will be more likely to float.
3. The substances in the two cans of pop decided whether it floated or sunk, like caffine, etc.
4. The substances in the can of coke have heavier/more substances than the diet coke.
1. I think that both the Coke and Diet Coke will both float.
2. Some objects float because their density is less then waters or they sink because their density is more then waters, which is 1 g/mL3.
3. The Diet Coke floated and the Coke sank. This happened because Diet Coke's density is less than one and Coke's is more than one. Mass, the cans both have the same volume because they are the same size.
4. Coke has caffeine and Diet Coke doesn't.
1.) i think the can of coke will sink and the diet coke will float.
2.) objects that will float must have a density that is less then the water it is going into (in this case it must be lower then 1).
3.) Diet coke had a lower mass but the same volume cause its density to be lower then the regular coke.
4.) A can of coke would have a greater density because it has caffeine in it which increase its mass while the diet doesnt have it.
1. I think the coke will sink and the diet coke will float.
2. If they float that means they are less dense than water. If they sink that means they are more dense than water.
3. It has to have been mass because they are in the same size can.
4. The can of regular coke has caffiene in it and the diet coke doesn't have it.
1. I believe that the normal Coke will sink and the Diet Coke with float!
2. I think the normal Coke would sink because it has more sugar, which means it would have more mass. With the Diet Coke, it has more of a chance to float because it doesn't have as much of mass!
3. I believe Diet Coke and Coke have the same amount of volume.. which they do! So, the mass cause them to have different densities.
4. Normal Coke has more sugar, Diet Coke has less sugar - hense the dietness. :)
1. I think Diet Coke will float and regular Coke will float. They have different compunds making them up so the density (mass making Diet Coke float) makes one sink and one float.
2. Some objects float and some sink depending on the density and composition of the cans.
3. Mass made it different for the objects to float or not.
4. Diet Coke has some different compounds making it up causing it to stay afloat and the regular Coke will sink from having for instance, sugar.
coke will sink... diet will float
some objects sink because they're density is higher than waters 1... the same is for floating except it's density is lower than waters
mass was different so coke
the amount of sugar was different and sugar adds mass... so since the coke has sugar its density is forced above 1
1. I think that the coke will sink and diet coke will float.
2. Some objects float because the density is lower than the waters density. And objects sink is because they have higher density than water.
3.Mass causes this because they have the same volume so the answer is mass.
4.Coke is made of a different substance than diet coke so that effected the mass.
1.coke sink diet coke float.
2.it depends on there density, if there density is greater then the fluid its in it will sink and vis versa.
3.diet coke is more carbinated then normal coke causing it to rise not sick.
4.diet coke has more air in the soda mixture then normal coke making it float.
1) I think the Coke will sink and the Diet Coke will float.
2) Different objects sink or float depend on density. Density depends on the volume and mass of the object.
3) My prediction was correct. The Coke sank and the Diet Coke floated. This is because the Coke has more salinity, or dissolved particles of salt, therefore having a higher mass. Diet Coke would naturally be lower in salt, so it would have a very low salinity, or a lower mass. The cans were the same size so the effect was from the mass.
4)A can of Coke is much higher in salt, and Diet Coke is much lower in salt, as it is diet. The salinity effects the mass, so Coke is denser.
1. I believe that Diet coke is going to float because it's more carbonated and creates a more dense product. The regular coke will sink becuase it's less carbonated, but other materials are added to make up for that like sugar for example.
2. Some objects float and some objects sink because of the amount of density they pertain. Higher density will sink and lower density will float.
3.The more the mass in the object the more likely it is to sink to the bottom. Vise versa for less. The volume or space it takes up will affect the density depending on it's mass.
4.Regular coke includes more sodium and sugar causing it to be more dense and sink. Diet Coke has less of those substances which makes it less dense.
1. I think coke will sink and diet coke will float because one has more sugar and other substances.
2. Objects will sink or float beacause of there densitys and substances they are made of.
3. Coke has the least of bubbles and diet coke has lots this make coke more dense.
4. What makes coke so heavy is all the sugar in it and the diet coke has less sugar
